An ideology according to Wikipedia is “a collection of normative beliefs and values that an individual or group holds for other than purely epistemic reasons.”
The term was coined by Antoine Destutt de Tracy in 1796, who conceived it as the “science of ideas”.
In social analysis, a political ideology is a certain set of ethical ideals, principles, doctrines, myths or symbols of a social movement, institution, class or large group that explains how society should work and offers some political and cultural blueprint for a certain social order.
However, In the entire South East geopolitical zone for example, it is indisputable that little or nothing is generally heard or known about political ideologies of States, just as little or no measure is taken by leaders to sensitize their followers on their held ethical beliefs.
But in Enugu State presently, the rhetorics are convincingly different; and the song, amazingly conceived, scripted and couched on “Nrashi” (“Voru ka m Voru”) political mantra.
For obvious reasons, “Nrashi” has become a whirlwind; erupting like the volcanoes it is, while unsettling a few individuals who are long dotted for courting troubles and reaping from overheating the political temperature of the state.
Luckiky, Enugu state, currently “in the hands of God” is in the farm with its best hands, harvesting infrastructure on daily basis, creating jobs, paying salaries and retiring benefits (including 13th month wage), and intervening in everywhere possible, irrespective of the pervading economic crunch buffeting the country.
These are obvious merits and gains of “Nrashi” political ideological disposition; berthed in fairness, hatched in the people’s interest and executed in all inclusiveness with commitment, passion and selfless service.
The wild and wild impacts of this mantra are no doubt, evident in the peaceful atmospheric environs of Enugu state, currently and comfortably IN THE HANDS OF GOD, and admiringly steered by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Governor of Enugu state.
“Nrashi” blows across the nook and crannies of Enugu state with one central message of balance, justice and fairness like the hurricane it is.
This is the real razzmatazz that is fast spreading like the wild, wild unrest of the North, while conferring on every indigene of Enugu the tag of stakeholder-ship of “everybody is somebody.”
The Governor Ugwuanyi’s recently publicized ‘One Community One Project’ programme, which was promptly launched with the sum of N10 million each for all the 450 autonomous communities in the state to execute priority projects of their choice, is a watershed; the governor’s appointment of Executive Assistants and Liaison officers from every rural community of the state, to ensure government’s presence in every part of the state is yet again, the nutrients that lubricate the coffee tree; and his construction of over 300 kilometers of new roads within the short period of assuming office in 2015 across the state, speaks volume of a man on a mission.
“All these, too numerous to mention, were in keeping with his campaign promise to “deploy government services to create fair and equal opportunity for every willing citizen to make a living and create wealth, educate our children, and enjoy life in a peaceful and secure environment;” Louis Amoke, Daily post, 8 September, 2018.
Lastly, it was Chinedu Eya, Former Enugu North Senatorial Aspirant, who once noted, “for troublemakers, the state is currently very busy; alternative routes advised please.”
