Enugu State Fire Service collaborates with Enugu State College of Education Technical on a 2day Fire Safety Workshop(photo)

The acting Provost of the Collage Prof. Barr. Ngozi M. Nnamani while declaring the workshop open which is the second of it kind called on the general public to join hands in the effort to prevent incidents of fire outbreak in homes, schools and other places which claim lives and property worth billions of Naira.
The Chief Fire Officer Enugu State Fire Service Engr Okwudiri Daniel Ohaa, explained the benefits of the workshop could not be over-emphasised as it would afford the participants the opportunity to learn how to prevent fire outbreak and save themselves and Other lives: escape from a room that was engulfed by smoke and fire and save people trapped before the arrival of firefighters.
The Chief Fire Officer said that one of the cardinal targets of the present government is to establish Fire Station in all the 17 local government areas of the state and that he has commenced with the completion of five new ultra modern fire stations in 5 local government areas within six months.
He called on the people to imbibe fire preventive measures and learn how to use fire extinguishers.
The Chief Security Officer of the Collage, Chief Ofili Augustine, testified that the training they acquired the previous year helped his men to immediately extinguish an occurrence in the School’s hostel recently.
The training covered Rescue Operation Procedure by Anambra State Chief Fire Officer, Engr Martin Agbili, etc
