COVID-19: IKEOHA APPLAUDS ENGR OKWUDIRI OHA

_Commends Governor Ugwuanyi for donating 15,000 facemasks to the people of Nkanu West LG_

The Executive Chairman of Nkanu West LGA, Chief Nwabueze Nnamani (Ikeoha) has continued to call on good spirited individuals to assist the less privileged people with food items during this COVID-19 lockdown.

Ikeoha made the call at Umueze Awkunanaw while observing the distribution of palliatives to about indigent people of by Engr Okwudiri Oha.

The LG Boss described Engr Oha, who is the Chief Fire Officer of Enugu State as a kind man that is making the people of Nkanu West LG proud.

He pointed out that “the Chief Fire Officer is not only a specialist in fire fighting but also good in fighting hungervirus.”

While thanking the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for being in the forefront of the fight against Coronavirus, Ikeoha informed the public that Governor Ugwuanyi has given 15,000 face masks to Nkanu West LG.

He stated that the face masks will be distributed to the 14 political ward in Nkanu West LG as soon as possible.

Speaking to newsmen at the event, the Council Boss stated that he “feel so elated and fulfilled. When the first stakeholder did something like this, what I preached was that other stakeholders should do the same, and I’m glad that the Chief Fire Officer, who has been very hard-working at the state level has also come home to support his people.”

He advised the public not to lay so much emphasis on palliatives and forget the real cause of the ugly situation, which is Coronavirus.

Chief Nnamani donated hand sanitizers and face masks to be shared among the beneficiaries of the stimulus package.

In his speech, the Chief Fire Officer of Enugu State, Engr Okwudiri Oha called on well meaning citizens of Nkanu West LGA to join hands with the State and Local government in taking care of the indigent members of the society.

He thanked Chief Nwabueze Nnamani for the manner in which he is carrying everybody along in his administration.

Oha noted that he was motivated by the Council Chairman to give to the less privileged.

After giving out a (10kg) bag of rice and noodles each to 98 indigent people in Umueze, the Chief Fire Officer proceeded to Amangwu Obuoffia where he paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Amangwu Autonomous Community, HRH Igwe Moses Oha.

Engr Oha also shared stimulus packages to 75 indigent people in Amangwu Obuoffia Awkunanaw.

HRH Igwe Moses Oha while receiving the Chief Fire Officer, thanked him for his benevolence and prayed that God will continue to uplift him.
