The Deputy Governor of Abia state, Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu today played host to the Executives and members of Abia Online Media practitioners Association of Nigeria(OMPAN)

In his opening remarks, the state Chairman of Abia OMPAN, comrade Ugochukwu Nwankwo reiterated the resolve of the organization to continue to exhibit the highest level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties as the watchdogs of the society and admonished the Government of Abia State to build a synergy and working relationship with the union in order to establish a seamless flow of information.

The Deputy Governor while responding lauded the efforts of Abia OMPAN in keeping the people abreast of happenings in the state and beyond, assured the organization of the readiness of the state Government to partner with them and also encouraged them to censor what is dished out to the public in order to continue appearing unbiased to the public.

Online media practitioners who were among the delegation include, the National President if OMPAN and Publisher of IgbereTV, Eme James Anyalekwa, the National Secretary and Publisher of Abia Facts, Iroegbu Emenike, the National Editor of OMPAN and Publisher of Abia Breaking News, Ifeanyi Okali, The News Gazzete Publisher Uche Aguoru, among others!
