2019: Why I can sell my N53m house in Lagos To Buy form For Ambode – Enugu PDP chief

Chief Chinedu Eya Said he is prepared to sell his house just to buy the governorship form for Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

Eya, a former aspirant on the platform of the PDP, says the governor must be prepared to heed calls to join the opposition party to actualise his dream for re-election

He alleges a massive gang-up against Ambode and urges the governor to dump the APC.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu, Chief Chinedu Eya, has offered to sell off his Lagos property worth over N53 million to purchase nomination and expression of interest forms for embattled Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
He, however, promised to make the sacrifice only if Governor Ambode is willing to heed calls to contest the 2019 elections on the platform of the PDP.

Chief Eya, who is also the national convener of Why It Must Be PDP in 2019, said he was enraged reading reports recently that the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Tinubu, and the party’s executives were mounting pressure on Ambode to step down from office and endorse his opponent, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the candidate.

Eya, a former senatorial aspirant on the platform of the PDP, noted that Ambode must as a matter of urgency dump APC for the PDP to survive the current political turmoil rearing to consume him in Lagos.

The politician hinted that his decision to purchase the governor’s reelection forms in the PDP, using his building as bait is to help save Ambode from the alleged gang-up by the Mandate Movement led by Tinubu and the chairmen of the 57 councils in Lagos.
“Without mincing words, If Ambody accepts the olive branch of my party already extended to him to join us and contest under our platform, I will sell off my building valued at N53 million to help him purchase our expression of interest and nomination forms and save him from National disgrace.

“As a politician, this is a gang-up…if you look at the case properly, the question is not about Governor Ambode’s performance, but a clear case of egocentric and egomaniac superiority over the peoples will and interest,” he said.

Eya said that the governor had nothing to fear about joining the PDP as the party will be willing to clear the route for him and possibly form a consensus that will produce him as the candidate of the political organisation.
