​Nigerian Police Parades Suspected Burglars And Phone Thieves in Enugu

The Nigeria Police in Enugu on Monday 9th October paraded suspected burglars and phone thieves, who have been a torn on the lives of Enugu residents particularly New Haven and Abakpa residents.

The suspects were paraded at New Haven division, where their deeds were read out to newsmen.
Parading them the Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, warned that the force was out to make sure that the state is kept as safe as possible. He went on to say that Security will be doubled in the state, to make sure that residents go about their daily activities without always looking around out of fear.
The paraded suspects which had a female among them, were said to specialize in breaking into shops around New Haven, Abakpa axis of the state. Some of the suspects confessed to snatching phones from unsuspecting victims around Liberty/ Texaco axis of Abakpa.
The suspects identified as Charles Chekwube of Ugwunwanyi street Abakpa, Kelechukwu Okpara of No 23 Ignatius obi street Abakpa, Eneh Ifeanyi of Tobias street,Ugwuanwany, Anih Emeka of 5th avenue New Haven Enugu and a female  Okpara Chisom of Ignatius Obi Ugbene 1, Abakpa. They went on to confess that they lay siege on unsuspecting victims around Liberty bus stop and Texaco where they snatch them off their  phones, they also confessed to breaking into phone shops around New Haven and Abakpa.
Recovered from them were 17 of the stolen phones including a laptop
The suspects are already regretting their actions as they blame it on peer group pressures.
